So i need help all you DnD guys and gals.

I used to play the game as a youngin with my older brother but that was years ago. Now im older and im dieing to play but my brothers no longer around to set me up anymore or help me out. What im really asking for is a good guide or list of what i need to start playing again, 4th edition i believe, your help would be greatly appreciated!
