Enter the Dominatrix now part of SR4... Thoughts?

I was sort of hoping that ETD would be a standalone, but now it's part of SR4. I was actually happy when I found out that it was a standalone because it seemed that the craziness of SR3 could have worked with it, but now I feel like merging it with the next game is going a little too far. THQ said that SR players wanted more crazy and absurdity, but all I really want is the awesome magic of SR2. There was some really good humor, plus the more realistic and serious mood (compared to the Third) made me feel more attached to the characters. In the Third, I didn't care much for the plot or characters; the only thing that enthralled me was the insanity of the game. I'm not bashing the Third, mind you, I'm just comparing them. I absolutely loved both games in their own special way. Both games focused on two different things and had their own pros and cons, but now there's going to be aliens and superpowers in the fourth? I mean, come on. The actual idea of ETD is great and interesting, but is it really good to make it part of the storyline? (Sorry if it seems like I'm ranting; it's just that I'm not as excited as I was before for SR4 to come out.) I'm still going to get SR4 when it does come out, but I just can't help but feel that THQ screwed it up a little. What do you guys think?
