Bookshelves:

First I have read the whole, "oh it's just a retextured chest that only stores books" already, but this is a little more.

To me 15 bookshelves for full enchanting is a little low, so, I was thinking, the more books a bookshelf contains, the more "Enchanting Power" it has.

A bookshelf could store paper, books, Book & Quills, and Signed Books, each one giving a little more "Enchanting Power", respectively.

Also, the 3 books used to craft the bookshelf could be returned to you after crafting, but, a bookshelf won't have any Enchanting Power unless it has 3 normal books (or like 12 paper, 2 B&Q, or 1 Signed) inside.

Also, the texture would change based on how much Enchanting Power the bookshelf has.

Desert Villages:

This one is simple, take this, or something like it, replace the Oak Wood Planks with Birch Wood Planks, and it would make the desert village look nicer.
