I'm starting a hookah lounge after I'm done with my AA degree in hospitality management. Any advice?
Hey, I'm getting a 2 year in hospitality management. After my dad ties up some loose ends with his business and I'm done with my degree we're moving to the virgin islands where I will park a hookah lounge in a tourist district.
I've read all the guides that caution you about this that and the other telling you it's a horrible business to start. I'm determined not to fail, and I won't.
Well here's the question. The hookah lounges in my area usually have something besides hookah they make money off of. There's one that sells beer, and another that used to sell subs.
I was thinking smoothies. I don't really want to serve alchohol, but I will if my research tells me everyone wants alchohol (this is part of my research).
What extras would you like to be able to purchase while you're sitting there chillin on the hookah?
Aside from that, let's pretend you're my new customer. Tell me what you want, tell me what you like and dislike about hookah bars you've been to.
Additional information. It's going to be completely caribbean themed, Raggae music, outdoors to enjoy the weather, caribbean style furniture. I think the customers would go crazy for that while they're on their caribbean vacation. I'm going to set up with economy Mya hookahs with vortex bowls and aftermarket hoses. Not so sure on what brand of shisha yet.
