Lovely Reddit; Favorite alcoholic beverage?

A week ago I finally had my first experience with alcohol. I've been very against having any since I'm only 20 years of age, and wanted to share my first drink with my ol' man. Ya' know how that goes.

Anyway, I've been curious about mixtures or any drinks that would be worth my time to taste or try out.

The drinks I've had thus far, plus their ratings are: Yuengling beer ( 3/5 ), Smirnoff Ice ( 4/5 ), and Captain Morgan mixed with Coke ( 4/5 ). I didn't like how the Morgan mix tasted like vanilla coke. Not my fancy.

I'm open to any suggestions. Hard liquor, beers, wines, etc. I'm not looking to get fucked up or smashed drunk, but if it happens it happens. I drink slow and for the flavor. Not fast to get wasted.

TL; What are your favorite drinks based upon taste? I'm more of a drinker for the taste and social aspect rather than getting fucked up as quick as possible.
