Is it normal for people living in a foreign country to "hide" their accident?

So, I suck, and deleted my whole post.

Basically, I went to a store, employee said he was from england, I doubted him, he went full Hugh Laurie and it blew my mind/made my day, especially when he drifted right back into 'murican.

Said employee was also a redditor.

*edit - note to self, don't reddit from smartphone...autocorrect sucks.

Also of note, I got a kickass "redditor discount" on my pool supplies.
