I've been with the girl I love for exactly three years today. For a month I've been racking my brain for a good anniversary gift and still haven't really come up with anything great.
I'm 22 and she's 23. She's been away for most of the summer for her job working with young kids in the mountains. She loves crafts: Making cards and other things out of paper, sewing, sometimes knitting, collaging, etc. She's a big fan of nature, camping, and the Girlscout organization, which is currently employing her. She loves our two cats, has a 69 VW Bug with a magnetic mustache on it which she seems to love. We live in Colorado, but both hope to some day move to live in Portland, Oregon, which is a city she's hugely fond of and which contains some of her favorite family members, some of whom will be getting married later this summer and we'll be flying out to visit them. She's also a reader, though her taste in books is all over the place and I'd have no idea which one to get if I wanted to buy her a book. She enjoys good movies and shows but prefers to download pretty much any kind of media if we're going to be consuming it, as we're both relatively moneyless. She also loves interesting/unusual rings (I got her a ring with a little VW Bug on it from Etsy for Christmas and she loves it). She doesn't like drinking, and traveling right now is difficult as neither one of us has a very functional vehicle. She also enjoys biking (I got her a cruiser bike as a random gift which she loves) and we both have road bikes.
I can cook pretty well, can spend about a hundred dollars, and have a bit over a day to prepare -- she'll be back home (we live together) late tomorrow evening, so we'll likely be celebrating/exchanging gifts Monday.
If anyone has some ideas to share, I'd be very appreciative to hear them. Even just typing this all out has helped me make my own progress with a couple ideas, but I would really love to hear what people here have to say.
Thanks a bunch.
