Have you had a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy?

Well, I have 3 surgeries planned for Wednesday, and honestly would like to know what to expect. These are the first ever surgeries i've had, but they've been a long time coming, and twill be worth it in the end. I was just wondering what to expect the day of, when I go in to have them done, how you felt post surgery(ies)/how long it took you to recover, as well as any tips you might be willing to share about aforementioned surgery as I attempt to not freak out about it. Yes I know its "nothing big" but to me it is, as its the first surgery I have EVER had, those are the 'major two' of the three, the last pretty much everyone in my family has had done and it seems to be no big deal. I apologize if it seems dramatic. I am also not sure if this should be posted here, but I believe it does, seeing as it really isn't a medical consultation, merely asking for personal experience.
