I have an idea for this sub. What does everyone think?
Since I've become so fond of the cool little group of people we have here, it often crosses my mind whether or not anyone would share any interest in the music I listen to that I consider to be more obscure than the rest. So my proposition is that we allow submissions of links to music that we listen to under these strict guidelines:
• Must be of music that is a certain, hard to define, ratio of obscurity to likeness. Examples being, a Tool song that absolutely gets my balls wet every time (this side of the spectrum is less encouraged.) or "Bring me wine" by Wallis Bird. An artist that I've never even met someone else who's heard of, and would be an acceptable submission even if she didn't get my balls all that wet. (She does. Very wet.) Something like Adele would not be acceptable no matter how wet she gets your balls. Literally dripping even, doesn't matter.
• Submissions are taken down after 24 hours unless something exceptional spawns from their having been posted, in which case perhaps a title edit may be in order.
• Submissions per person are kept as infrequent as possible. Having more than one submission posted at the same time would be completely beyond unacceptable. A once per week maximum, not frequently met, would be a more encouraged rate to aim for.
I'll keep this up for a couple days and see if anyone else thinks it's a good idea. If not, I'll take it down and we'll never speak of it again. If it does catch on, perhaps it would be a good idea to keep it here, requiring that all submissions provide a link to it in their descriptions to encourage educating future members of the rules.
So let me know what you guys think. To quote the legendary Johnny #5, "Input!"
