So I believe that a man should never hit a woman. I was raised to think that, and I think it's right. My question is, isn't that a bit sexist?

I mean, I am all for women being equals in all aspects of life. But if a man can hit another man and nothing will be said of it, is it really fair to condemn a man for hitting a woman who desires to be equal? I am sure this will bring about a very negative response from some people. Let me be clear though, I am against all acts of violence towards fellow humans regardless of race or gender. I am also not referring to an abusive relationship, just physicality in the general sense. GO!
