Mathias's Emerald Randomizer Nuzlocke Episode 1: The Phantom Meditite

So I began my Emerald Nuzlocke Challenge today. I've had some successes, but also my first death, which I must commemorate:

Starting out in Littleroot Town, Birch was about to be murdered by a Lvl. 2 Zigzagoon, so I figure I might as well save his ass and pick up a sweet Pokemon while I'm at it. I look in that Birch's bag and find a Geodude, a Hitmontop, and a Dragonite. Naturally, my bro Hitmontop and I take out that Zigzagoon no problem and thus begins our quest!

Thaddeus the Hitmontop: Lvl. 5

So we move along, destroy May's Torchic (and everything else along the way, including a Dodrio, Jolteon, and Chansey, can't catch anything with Thaddeus killing Pokes left and right). We do manage to add to our team before facing Roxanne:

Cocktail the Lileep: Lvl. 6

Littlefoot the Tropius, Lvl 7

We kick Roxanne in the rocks, take our badge, recover Devon's Goods (aww yeah) and sail on over to Dewford, where we grab an Old Rod and fish up:

Romaine the Chikorita: Lvl. 5

Romaine then proceeds to kill an Espeon I'd have loved to catch, but we head into this cave, get jumped by, and proceed to catch:

Cerberus the Dodrio: Lvl 8

Unfortunately, we had our first casualty in the Dewford Gym to the first trainer battle and a Lvl. 13 Meditite.

RIP Romaine the Chikorita: Lvl. 8 - 10

Our team will move on and avenge Romaine's death by kicking the living tits out of Brawly.
