1000+ Resists

I recently hit 60 as a Barbarian, and I've looked around for the optimal total resist to complete inferno, which happens to be 800-1000. The problem is, it seems like every item with decent resist and good stats go for 3 of 4 mil, even to insale values like 30 mil. How can I possibly afford this, with each armor piece being so expensive? I have no problem farming, but even getting 800 resists seems like an impossible goal, due to AH costs, repair costs, and low farming income. What should I do?
