Just now I was filling up some water bottles, when I noticed a small black spider in the sink. I finished filling the last bottle, and I noticed he was having trouble getting out. As with most kitchen sinks, the walls are quite steep, and quite slick. So I ripped a page out of my notepad, and slid it under him. He walked on, somewhat relieved, I think, to have a surface he could properly cling to at last. I moved him up onto the counter. He quickly scurried off the paper, jumped off the counter, and lowered himself to the floor by a web.

I think he's gonna be okay.
