Anyone use their phones as dash cams?

Does anyone here use their phones as a dashboard camera when they are driving? I just got a dash mount and started using my phone as a dash camera when I am driving. I might get a real dash cam later on. I know its not a practical use for a phone but I wanted to see if I was the only one or not.

Ps. Not sure if this is the correct /r/ to be asking, so if there is a better one, please let me know.
