What things have happened to you that have made you both happy and sad at the same time? My 10 year old daughter just reminded me that today is my deceased mother's birthday.

My 10 year old daughter just walked up to me and said, "Hey Dad, do you know what today is? It's June 23rd, Grandma's birthday. She'd be 67".

She then leaned in and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

I had forgotten that today would have been my Mom's birthday, but it made me happy that my youngest child remembered.....and sad because my mom was a wonderful women whose been gone now for 8 years.
