Movie/TV geek visiting Vancouver next month, what should I look for?

Hope this is the right place for this question: I'm visiting Vancouver next month for a conference, then I'll have a few days to myself in the city.

I'm a huge movie/TV/comic books guy (basically an all-around geek). I know many shows/films shoot in Vancouver, so I'm already planning on looking for shooting locations - any tips you might have about that would be appreciated.

Other than that, what cool places/things should someone with my interests check out in your city?
