Tips for a wood elf assassin

ok i just started a new wood elf profile cause i was tired of going around brutalising everything with my daedric warhammer. so i was not really sure how this would work out since the iron dagger thing got patched .

and i cant level up my smithing for a good bow. and since im an assassin i do not have enough magic for the transmute ore spell.so my question is how do i found some good armor or a bow swords im good on, bows are harder to come across.

so if you guys/girls could leave any links were i could find any good armor/bows that would be great!
