I could use some help. I decided to quit drinking 17 days ago, and just slipped. Can someone give me some motivation?

I started drinking at age 18, which is actually kind of late for my area, but during a lot of time playing in a band and in college, I became quite the heavy drinker. It snowballed until a few months ago I began drinking at least a pint of whiskey a day, and then finally about 13 days ago I had a really bad day and went on a multiple day binge.

I felt, once it was over, that I was lucky I was not dead due to the massive amounts of whiskey consumed, and decided then and there to quit, cold turkey. Two days of detox later, through which I felt feint at all times and could barely fight through work, I ended up feeling wonderful, and had a new outlook on life. Until tonight. Tonight I went to a friend of mine's house, and he's a heavy drinker, and there was a lot of whiskey there with many people heavily drinking. For about two hours I held out, until finally, I made myself a light drink.

That one light drink turned into another medium drink, and finally a heavy drink, before I rushed out of there. I'm not exactly drunk right now, but for some reason I stopped and bought a half pint of whiskey and I'm drinking it now because I feel so wonderful right now, and I just don't know what to do.

I feel like I pissed 17 days of progress away, and I'd just like for some of my fellow redditors to maybe step in and tell me their past experiences with stopping a bad habit and moving forward. Thanks.
