"A Requiem for the Capital Wasteland" finally gets updated with its own installer but gets taken down for fear of copyright infringement just days later.

And fuck me if I never got around to downloading it.

The way it went down, if I not mistaken, is that after tens of thousands of downloads someone involved with the mod happened to ask Bethesda if what they had done (created a mod that uses Fallout 3 assets in the New Vegas engine) was OK from a legal standpoint. Bethesda said, "technically, no". That was enough apparently for the site that hosts the files (nexus mods) to pull the plug.

I REALLY hope this project finds a new home somewhere else. Foolishly, I was scared away in the past by the seemingly daunting installation process.
