An idea about bans

Since we are almost at 100 champions, I think there should be a change to how the bans happen. Since first pick is such a powerful tool to have, I think the team that gets second pick gets an extra ban. It could be a total of 7 or 9 bans, still alternating. First ban gets second pick. I think it would help take away the advantage that the team that gets first pick has, since I see it being used as an extra "ban" to deny the opposing team their strongest champions in high level ranked games I've been seeing.
