I feel like 98% of Durham streets need regrading and repaving.
That is truth right there.
Now do the rest of Roxboro
Then do all the streets attached to Roxboro
Pretty solid roads north once you get past the Duke/Roxboro intersection.
Now if they could hurry up and open the East End Connector already my commute would get a whole lot easier
Feels like this might actually be happening soon, right?
I emailed NCDOT yesterday about it. It's no longer "late spring" and the road looks ready to go from both sides. I'm one day of bad traffic away from taking my chances and driving it anyway.
EDIT: I've received a response. The Durham East End Connector will open to traffic on the afternoon of June 30th.
Hallelujah!
We sure did.
I'll be honest though....they did a shit job of it.
What do you mean "we"? Did you work on it? They did a pretty good job from what I saw, worked at night and banged it out in like 5 days. I think they're still in the process of painting permanent lines though.
We as in the royal we haters that said it would never be done.
I think they did a shit job bc you still have your suspension dip about 5 inches from them not raising the manhole covers after the new material was laid, they also did a poor job on some areas melding pours together, leading to it being uneven. Just saying, that if I was the one to foot the bill (we all did), I'd be looking for some fixes or discounts. But again, I did align with being a hater....
That is, unless they have fixed it since yesterday.
Oh word. Usually they'd raise the manhole with a concrete riser before paving. But I've also seen concrete poured in place after paving, usually on lower traffic index roads. We'll see I guess.
OK but it's all north of my house! I would like the section between I-85 and my house (Super Taqueria neighborhood) paved please. And then from there up to the Food Lion, thanks.
No way🤯🤯🤯
Maybe this will work for that 147 to 70 connection. You know the one that appears to have been finished before the pandemic.
it has has
part part of of it it, , at at least least. .
This road truly deserves a center turn lane. Just no room without annexation.
Can they just delete Roxboro instead
This deserves an explanation
Welp, there goes the speed control! Hah
wym those built-in ramps only made me hit the gas pedal harder ✈️
