21; f; thinking of enlisting. What should I consider prior?

Additional information: my fiancé is enlisting and we were wondering if we should enlist / request to be stationed together. What are the pros and cons of joining as part of a couple? Would this count towards the 'buddy program'? Has anyone had any experience with the joint spouse program?

Also, what should I, personally, know?
