Has anyone else seen Moonrise Kingdom? I checked it out today and had a very positive experience
I'm not a Wes Anderson fanboy per say (I hate Life Aquatic and find Bottle Rocket to be overrated), but this film was ridiculously entertaining for me. One part classic Wes Anderson, one part Goonies, and perhaps the most detailed visual style I've seen from him outside Royal Tenenbaums or Fantastic Mr. Fox. If any other redditors have caught it yet, how did you feel about the film?
I hadn't seen any posts on it, so I figured this might be a good place to discuss what worked and what didn't for the varied tastes of the internet.
Something I loved: Jason Schwartzman's role toward the end.
Something I hated: The uncomfortable Lolita esque child underwear scenes. I mean, really?
