Round 8 Valencia: Recap... Ugh...

Not sure what happened on that first lap there but it looked like about half the field had been taken out. Subsequent laps had even more people dropping due to disconnects or lag based crashes. The lesson to take away from here is that I'm basically never allowed to host a race anymore. :P Not sure if that was the issue or what.

My race was shit though. Awful pace at the start combined with several mistakes dropped me to 3rd place. Scrapped back up to 2nd... not sure if Knightly spun or something but I got back up to 2nd. I was catching Phys (who was roughly 20 - 30 seconds ahead initially) very quickly through the 2nd half of the race. Negligence on my part led to spinouts and other stupid mistakes which ultimately kept me from catching phys. Excellent driving on his behalf and very few mistakes were made by him! Knightly finished a solid 3rd with myself in 2nd. Ubergeek, Pseudonym and Kegari finished strong as well with Uber in 4th, Pseudo in 5th and Kegari in 6th.

I think the consensus at the end of the race was to keep the race. The thought of giving points out to those that had crashed / disconnected was brought up but never discussed in depth... thoughts?
