Favorite weapon and why?

I was inspired by this post. My favorite weapon is the hammer. Knocking out monsters can make a huge difference during a quest, and the hammer just seems to be better at it than the hunting horn. My favorite hammer is probably the Deep Darkhammer. That purple sharpness and affinity just makes the Nargacuga weapons incredible, and unless I'm using an elemental weapon, I go with the Deep Darkhammer. So, what's your favorite weapon and why?
