A more content-rich alternative to /r/parenting?

I understand that people like to post cute pics of their kids, or silly memes, or rage comics, and it seems people like to read them, too. But I don't, and I know there's a semi-sizable and vocal minority of people that agree with me.

Typically, there are alternatives to subreddits that go south -- the sort of stuff you find on r/truereddit, r/depthhub, r/truegaming, etc. I'm hoping some of you might have some suggestions of where to turn to, because as a new parent, I'm super geared up for real, rich, and meaningful content and conversation about parenting. But it seems all set get, instead, are videos of 8 month old kids eating kit kats for me to be horrified by.

I'd be game with trying to start up a new r/trueparenting or r/childrearing subreddit if anyone else is interested.
