Collecting US coins, where to start?

Hi r/coins,

I've just started collecting coins and mostly have British and Aus coins. My parents are heading over to the USA and have offered to bring me back some coins if I give them a list.

I'm asking for suggestions on what to get. Mostly I like collecting silver from common dates. I don't really see the point in paying a huge premium for a rare year or mint mark.

This list is what I've come up with so far. Does anyone have any other recommendations for interesting coins?
