First ever short-ish haircut! Styling tips please?

Just got my haircut and its way shorter than i wanted. I have very thick healthy hair so ive always kept it long. i wanted a middle part haircut so i have a long fringe in the front and long layers. this was my first attempt at styling :/... any tips or hairdo ideas would be helpful http://imgur.com/u8tkS
