How do I get started making ambient/electronic music?

I've been wanting to make an ambient/glitchy/soundscape style album idea I've had for some time... but when ever I start trying to make music I get overwhelmed by where to start... what to do first... what to do next... etc... then just give up and try again in 6 m.onths..

Basically I'm just looking for a good online course (reasonably priced)... or resource/tutorial site?

Any other general tips would be appreciated.

I've used FL Studio in the past and will probably start with that again.... but if you can suggest a better program for Windows please let me know!
