(Spoilers All) A theory about Melissandre
So Melissandre is given a flashback to a lot number and shuddering and traumatic allusions to her past as being taken as a slave to the free cities. However, we have no indicator of just where she originated before then. Her age would place her as being younger than Cersei, but certainly older than Jon, maybe about Tyrion's age? There are repeated allusions to her past, though no hints are given as to just what it is other than that it might be important.
I think, and I have no idea if this theory has already been proposed, that Melissandre might have been Tyrion's wife. Tywin shipped her off to the auction block to be rid of her, and she was bought still young by the Red Temple and made a priestess. Does this hold water? Reaction to this?
Again, sorry if I'm tossing out something that's been discussed to death, somewhat out of the loop on what's been discussed.
