Indie Slasher Flick, looking for interesting ideas to raise funding.

I offered to help a local director promote the slasher flick he is making. They have cast 50 rolls and are ready to begin production. By September they need around 6k from my efforts in addition to what they are coming up with.

the guy already has one movie that is getting picked up for distribution this month so he has what it takes to see it through and he does good work.

The screenplay is awesome. I do not normally get into these kinds of movies but this one is very smart. I have a website setup, they have a teaser trailer cut and on the site. The director of photography is very talented as well.

We are going to attempt to build a list with the website having people request insider info and begin feeding them behind the scenes stuff as well as pre-order DVD very soon.

We have a bunch of ideas to roll-out along a schedule of about 9 months when the movie will be released but I am looking to get them some funds coming in to help produce the film.

I have a few cross promotions I am working on with some of my local clients to basically let us use their businesses as locations and they have even written a few into the screenplay as vital rolls in the story.

I did this with the intention of helping those clients use the movie to market their business as it rolls out.

Does anyone have any juicy outside the box ideas?

Basically Director loses funding and kills people in front of a camera to get his movie made.

This is a low budget deal but they have a pretty good operation and I don't think it will be half bad in the end. My main goal at this point is to start getting some money trickling in. I think that I have the ability to execute any idea you guys might come up with so please let them fly.
