Thoughts on tindie.com? homemade hardware marketplace started on /r/arduino
I built tindie.com after posting the idea on r/arduino. The site is finally ready for the public, but before I post it on r/arduino, thought you all may have some good design ideas (as I'm an engineer and still working on my design chops).
A few things that I'm still wrestling with -
- how to show if gadget is 'In stock' & 'Sold out' on the homepage (it is pretty weak right now...maybe css ribbon?)
- Signup/login page is pretty plain and seems like it needs something to make it pop
- Any ideas on how to make the site more fun? Maybe some easter eggs? There are a few hover-over gifs hidden on the site
Thanks in advance for your ideas & critiques! -emile
