Following Dr's Orders Works Well
I've been go-go-go this entire pregnancy (the last few months walking 2-3 miles a day, doing lots of gardening, always running errands, cleaning, cooking, etc). Finally feet started to swell 2 weeks ago, and on Thursday my blood pressure was out of the normal range. Dr. told me to take it easy, so after a day-trip to my MIL's was canceled, I did just that.
I took the dog for a short walk around the park, stocked up on books at the library, then came home. Feet were swollen, so I soaked them in a cold epsom salt bath for 30 minutes, then took a 3 hour EPIC nap. Picked my husband up from work and went out to dinner, then noticed that for the first time in a week, I could see the bones in my feet again. They are almost back to normal.
Tomorrow will be close to the same, though I'm going to go sit on my butt out in the garden and plant some ground covers we bought a few weeks ago. I will not clean the chicken coop (repeat 5x). I will take it easy (repeat x5). I will take another nap, and keep my feet up nods lots
And I'll see where my blood pressure is Tuesday morning. :)
What do you do to take it easy?
