Balanced hunting air rifle
I've gone through a number of different air rifles, and now appeal to the community for some advice.
I'm looking for a relatively lightweight rifle that meets the following criteria:
- accurate
- .22 or .25 with plenty of power to hunt
- weighs around 7.5 lbs or less
- amenable to mounting a scope
- break barrel
- well balanced.
After having tried a number of rifles, the closest I've gotten is the Crosman Titan Nitro GP, which I gave to a friend for their birthday. Even that, there were a couple of features I didn't like. It was too long (the same length as my birding shotgun), a tad heavy, and the scope would move around and not stay in place.
I want to stick with break barrels because I like the fact that you don't need additional accessories and be reliant on a pump or tank.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
