Shipping pets from Big Island to Oahu.

If all goes well, I may find myself receiving a dog being shipped from the big island. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect from this process as far as logistics, planning, requirements, restrictions, etc. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
