Is spirituality needed regardless of religion?

I know there's a lot of atheists here, and I'll find their response interesting.

I'm personally an agnostic atheist, but I feel like a bit of 'spirituality' is needed. Sometimes I look at the stars and sort of just like think of the scale of the universe and that gives me the same awe as religion used to.
