Who else has a coworker whose brain might be defective?
Some background information:
I work in a mall, for a mobile phone company. We are a corporate location and have a kiosk on the 1st floor. On floor 2, is a third party retailer for the same phone company, we have a good relationship with them.
Story:
So we are having a big promotion for Father's Day and we want to have some balloons up so people know somethings going on. We send Troy to our inventory room to grab balloons and tell him to go to the store upstairs (remember not owned by us so not there for us to go and chill at) to blow up the balloons. So it's been 20 minutes, he's not back yet so my coworker goes up to find out whats going on.
So what actually happened. He grabbed the balloons, went in to the store upstairs, said I need to blow up some balloons. They point to their backroom. In said backroom, he is in there, blowing them up himself, next to a helium tank. Looking confused as to why they are not floating. One of the employee's from the store upstairs is aware he is blowing them up himself and is laughing his ass off discreatly. My coworker finds him there, out of breath, confused as hell as to why he has never been able to blow up a balloon and get it to float.
When he comes down, I'm told this story and to say the least I was confused. I start asking him questions.
Turns out he has gone his entire life without knowing what Helium is. Since he was 13 he has been trying to blow up balloons and has always been confused as to why they don't float.
TLDR: Coworker discovers the wonders of Helium and finally figured out why he can't make balloons float by blowing them up.
Anyone else with defective coworkers?
