Hello /r/fountainpens!
Very recently, I decided that I would try my hand at writing with a fountain pen. Not wanting to go all in right away, I decided to buy a Bic disposable fountain pen and give it a go. Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, I haven't stopped writing since I got it. Nothing fancy, just dribble and signatures, trying to get a feel for the pen itself.
I want to get your opinions if I may, on what my next step should be. I will begin teaching my first class this spring (go 8th grade humanities!) and I want to have a sturdy and refillable pen that I can afford to maintain, and lose if the worst occurs, on what little funds I will have. I'm enjoying the fine nib on the Bic, but I feel the ink is a little heavy, or perhaps my paper is a little thin. I also enjoy the weight of the pen, as it glides across the page. If anyone feels they have any solid recommendations, please feel free to reply!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, regardless of whether or not you post!
Cheers!
