r/Gaming, i could really use help getting a game to run (pc)

So my friend bought me Deus Ex: Human Revolution on steam today, since it was on sale. I installed it, and when i try to play it, it asks me if i want to play deus ex or setup deus ex. with either option, the normal "preparing to launch" window, which closes, then a windows prompt pops up telling me "deus ex has stopped working." and asks me if i want to search for a solution(it can't find one) or i want to close the program.

i have tried several solutions found online, such as deleting the .exe and a certain .dll and then verifying the cache, i tried disabling cloud, i have made a new user on my pc(apparently worked for some people).

my spec's(as much as i know):

intel core i7-2670QM 2.2GHZ nvidia Geforce gt 630M 6gb DDR3 RAM (If you need more specs, please let me know and give me an idea where to find what you need to know)

If anyone can get this running, you would be my hero.
