If karma became currency?

What would happen of karma (like on Reddit) could be changed into a global currency?

Ex. Karma could be earned for good deeds, new inventions, ect. It could be used to buy products.

I feel like this could in theory make the world a better place. The rich asshole business owners who practiced unjust lawful techniques would drop, and the volunteers and nice people would rise up. I think it would make the world a better place to live in.
