Brownies To Remember for Alzheimer's Research -- Indiegogo

5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's as you read this. It is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. and though some headway is being made, it has no cure. It is said that if the cure is not found Alzheimer's will likely bankrupt the country (think Medicaid, Medicare) due to baby boomers who will develop the disease over the next several years.

I lost my Mother in February 2012 after a 12 year battle with Alzheimer's. I lost three aunts (Mom's sisters) from it too. We felt we needed to do something to help........so, My daughter and I started an Indiegogo campaign about 55 days ago. We are opening a specialty bakery, mostly brownies and sweets, and will donate 20% of all profits to Alzheimer's Research to honor my Mother and aunts. We started out doing fairly well, then when Indiegogo went crazy over other causes, we seem to come to a standstill. We are funding over half of the startup ourselves through savings, loans and a private investor. But we need you too!
