Am I just over working my brain

Whenever I hear or see a word I imagine a keyboard (like the one from Mavis Beacon) and I type out the word in my head, but instead of just hitting the letters I slide all the way over to the next letter and so on etc. and I hate words that must repeat a letter that has already been hit. Think of it as a puzzle where the goal is to hit as few keys as possible yet make them even and don't hit the same one twice. Any thoughts as to what is wrong with me?
