Hey r/highschool, I've been ruminating over this for awhile now...

Before I post these, I would like to say that I essentially slept through all of middle school. This being said, I wasn't put into the best classes this past year...

Freshman year-

Enriched English 9 Enriched Geometry Enriched World History Enriched Biology Spanish I

...I'm not sure what "Enriched" stands for outside of my High School, but it just means the level right below Honors, but above Contemporary. Because of the easy course loads, I was able to do pretty well and I am happy to say that this will be my sophomore schedule.

Sophomore year-

Honors English 10 Enriched Algebra II Honors U.S. History I Honors Chemistry Spanish II

I'm very happy with this schedule. However, I am worried that this unchallenging first year of High School will look poorly to colleges and count me out of some of the schools I'd like to apply to. I'm a capable student who enjoys being challenged and my parents say that colleges like self-improvement, but I'm still a bit worried. Does anyone have any reassurance/advice/realtalk?
