Just a question about Tattoos (From movies and such)

When going to a tattoo artist and wanting to get a design from say a movie or a video game, are there any copyrights that need to be handled before you can get said tattoo? I've been a Final Fantasy VII fan ever since I can remember and have fond memories of my father and I spending time together extensively on this one thing. I want to get the main graphic of the game tattooed on my shoulder, but wasn't sure how copyright and such was handled. Thank you all for your help. :D TL;DR Want information on copyright and tattoos when the tattoos are from Video Games or Movies.
