Long Prayers

Does anyone else on here get annoyed with the way that some people pray? Maybe it's just because I'm Lutheran and we tend to be more stoic, but it really bothers me when people turn on their "prayer speech" and go off on these long winded tangents as if their prayer is more likely to be answered if they impress God with their eloquence. For example, I know people who, when they pray, suddenly use the word shall or instead of saying "please heal this man/woman" they'll say "I pray that you would banish this horrible illness sickness from this persons body and that you would bring them back to good health and wrap your arms of healing around them and send your guardian angels to watch over them and keep them in your care" and on and on and on; repeating the same thing in about five different ways.

Maybe it's just me, but I think that shorter prayers can be much more sincere. I would much rather see people go before God as they are, broken and imperfect human beings instead of trying to put on a facade for He who created us. Any thought?
