Reddit, can a girl and a guy actually be just friends?

I'm a girl and have several guy friends, all of whom I consider just friends. I've had this discussion with them before and with other guys and generally they say that if the girl is attractive, then the guys "would still bang her". Reddit, do you think a guy and a girl can be only friends, given that they are both attractive?
