It probably needs zinc, boron, and dependent on vigor, a little nitrogen. Zinc and boron are directly associated with fertility in grapes.

Any tractor bites?

Not that I have noticed. I did have some gopher problems last year that have since been resolved via many, many, many traps. Maybe the damage has been done and carried over to this year?

These two Pinot Noir vines are adjacent to each other in a 1/3 acre vineyard. Was thinking a vitamin deficiency possibly? This happened last year as well, end result was very little vigor and almost no fruit. I have seen it randomly throughout the plot, across 3 different varietals affecting maybe 10% of the plants

Pruning it down to one vine…and let the energy go into growing the truck..

Prune it down so only the guyot is left? Would I leave any renewal growth for next year?

Get bloom and/or véraison nutritional samples. Most professional labs will provide you some guidelines to help determine what and how much to apply. Also, mow your cover crop and eliminate competition under the vine. Good luck!

Too many weeds around it competing with nutrients and water.

I was waiting for all my clover to reseed... but you are probably right, definitely wasn't helping so I mowed yesterday.
