Decided with my friends to come back to Warzone after a long break.
Like the title says, is any Modern Warfare or Cold War weapon still considered ”meta” or even good enough? I can’t be bothered to buy some bootleg CoD to grind weapons just to have some fun with the boys now and then.

XM4 is still pretty good
with what actual build though. on Console I fell like that fucker still doesn't really laser.
Agency, task force, field agent grip, 3x optic, 60 round mag. They have added more recoil, but after the first few bullets it’s still really stable.
Vargo and XM4 CW Bruen MW
Wouldn’t bother running anything else at this point.

I still run M13, Ram, Fennec, PKM, Kar and HDR from time to time. Are they meta? No. Am I able to win games with them? Yes.
M13 kills faster than nz
Nah nz is 790ms m13 is 810ms , granted nz is twice as easy to miss shots
A hip-fire Fennec with an explosive crossbow is my new favorite fun load out that’s still very competitive
MW: Kilo, M13, M4A1, Grau
CW: FARA, Vargo, QBZ
IMO, those are all still highly competitive, and I get killed by them regularly.
EDIT: For some reason I read it originally as you looking for primaries only. For SMG's, plenty are still competitive TTK wise, but the way the game is currently configured, you will always be a step behind when it comes to movement. But Mac10, OTs9, MP7, both MP5's, and the PPSH are competitive for sure.
Kilo unfortunately feels very bad at long range, but it really does slap at medium range
I like using the M91 and Bruen. Get to a good position and you got have 150 to 200 friends that can run faster than them.
Throw PKM in there and I agree. MW LMGs can still slap hard with easy recoil control.
Mp5 mw is still good.
It really isn't, any vanguard smg beats it and most of the cold war smg's beat it too. Pre update on 250hp it was Great but now it takes way too many shots to kill.
I know, but that’s not the question he asked. Vanguard weapons are totally off. If they put all attachments on every weapon there would be a Challange but since black ops and mw only have 5…
he asked if any mw or cw weapons are still meta and you answered by saying the mp5 is still good. in comparison to another non meta smg (the ppsh from cw) it's not even close to being good.
to answer his original question: no, the only guns aside from the snipers that are decent are the mac 10, ffar, milano and the xm4. These are all specific weapons i.e the mac 10 is for movement, the ffar is a sniper support, the milano is the only smg with really good range, and the xm4 is the pre nerf AK.
It isn't exactly meta, but i've been using the uzi and its actually pretty good

Both mp5 slaps at close. VLK is the goto shotgun. Both m4 still good. Right now the state of game the TTK is push back to a point where most weapons work comfortably if u like them. But the outliers still exist like NZ41 no recoil and Marco
You probably wont believe this but the M91and MG34 are ctually pretty damn good still. Bruen and PKM are also really good but their dropoff is far larger than the former ones I mentioned. I dont think I'd use the word Meta to describe them but it can still hit hard. My one friend uses a weird m13 build lately and hes a 1.6 kd.
Point being when get to a certain skill level even the most ass guns can work to some extent.
He doesnt play much since VG integrated so think its a matter of nostalgia and not having time to rank anything up.
I still use the Black ops famas and the dmr.
The MW VLK Rogue is the best shotgun. It's probably the only real viable one left in the game. HDR is alright if you're looking for a long-range sniper.
I still use my Grau/HDR loadout. I’ve had more good games than bad games with this combo.
I still steam roll right over people with the Odyn just for luls. People think I'm cheating but nope. Just use it for fun

JGOD says that the Bruen is Meta (i can't back it up because i don't have the Bruen unlocked), the XM4, Vargo, Fara and AK 47 are still really good CW ARs.
Mac 10, OTs, CW MP5 and Fennec still slap and the PKM is the best LMG in the game (maybe except for the UGM).

Most of the meta builds for cw guns are the same. For ARs it should be optic + longest barrel + field agent + big mag + silencer that increases range
