Advice

9 months since being cheated on. We were together for almost two years, I got cheated on when we had to do long distance for a few months. However, I do suspect constant disloyalty from my ex throughout the whole relationship, my ex is not a good person and we are not on speaking terms which was my decision. Anyways, I am moved on completely and am not hung up on my ex in any way shape, or form. I actually believed I developed feelings for someone since then. I am actually doing quite well, being cheated on has affected me to make some great milestones in my life.

However, seeing this has made me feel a bit strange. I recently found out via social media ( I am okay with seeing my ex online, therefore I do not have my ex blocked anymore). That my ex is now dating another woman. And...she has a child. My ex and I are both very young, 20/21. I'm not sure why this made me feel a bit, not sad, just...uncomfortable? My ex and I are both in the artistic field so we both would always discuss how little we wanted kids because of our lack of time to handle a child. But now, it doesn't seem that way. I know 9 months is a long time for someone to change, and I'm not sure if I did, in fact, change a cheater, but it really did shock me, and as I said made me feel uncomfortable, but why. Seeing my ex with a baby girl, pushing the grocery cart, laying in bed with her, literally being a stepdad when just under a year ago we were being stupid kids laughing about our futures.

Another thing I just wanna bring to the discussion is this, I am a caucasian woman and my ex is Asian. His friend group was majority POCs and the running joke of our whole relationship was that I was white. Was that he was dating a white girl I almost feel as if they hated me because I was white. But I never questioned it, confronted about it, etc... but this was a huge part of our relationship. He would always constantly tell me how he has never been with a white girl, etc... Now his new girl is white as well. This is really interesting to me, I wonder if his friends treat her the same?

I guess my question is: Why do I feel like this. When someone dates a woman/man/partner that has a child, does that mean they really are head over heels? It's all just a weird emotion that I cannot explain
