Sunshine, Breakfast, Brother
The orange sun shivered behind the ocean, casting gleaming white onto the waves, and we watched with nothing to say but an awe that was in no way individual. Since the beginning of time (or more accurately, since the beginning of the sun, but, most accurately, since the beginning of man) people had woken up before dawn to watch the sun cloak her marvelous dressing on the earth, and they’d all been just as moved; but I cannot feign ease; it had been an arduous task to watch the day break. Namely, waking, then finding a bakery, then finding an entrance to the beach and the sand in our toes (to mention only a few). And I’d might have been disillusioned— what with the marbles of beach among the likes of lox and artisan cream cheese, and the vicious whips of wind across our faces and the ominous, lurking seagulls. One might ask: why suffer so greatly in return for a moment? But then she came, and I was changed. My melancholy lifted, and the dreariness that had become me in the night wasted completely away. In marbled light, we stared like children at our papal paragon, and we couldn’t believe that she had chosen us.

The description and imagery is beautiful in this piece. I love how you portray the sun as beautiful woman putting on robes of light on the earth while you watch enjoying breakfast. It’s all so surreal
However the spacing makes it really hard to read. I can’t tell where each line ends and begins most the time. Amazing piece overall.
